Announcing the Willow Pond Challenge

Preserve Penfield is excited to announce the Willow Pond Challenge! We have secured an anonymous benefactor to match donations dollar-for-dollar in support of our opposition to the Willow Pond project. For every dollar donated toward this campaign (up to $5,000 total), another dollar will be added, doubling your contribution!

Why does Willow Pond matter?

For the residents of the Willow Pond neighborhood, the project represents an affront to the safety of their community. The project would exacerbate an already dangerous, winding road with poor visibility, further endangering drivers, pedestrians, and children on Willow Pond Way.

For the rest of us, Willow Pond represents the pitting of community interest against developer influence. While we adamantly oppose approval of the Special Use Permit required for this project, the truth is that the Town Board has discretion and justification to vote either way. The outcome will be a litmus test, showing the Board’s true colors and making it clear to residents where we stand in their priorities.
